Stronghold Delux

So I was at my other house this weekend away from any computer that is really capable of playing newer games, but I still had a itch to play something. So after a about 15 or so minutes of browsing around Gametap.com, I found the game Stronghold Deluxe. Was made way back in the darkages so I figured it would work on this computer from back then. Work it did.

So then I booted it up and was greeted by a RTS/City building games as far as I can tell so far. I say as far as I can tell because I only got to the second level of one of the campgins. I also found out that I now SUCK at such games.

The discovery of my sucking though also made it fun to play with a bit. In the MMO world of just running and killing, this old bad boy is going to really give me a run for my money I feel. I don't doubt that I'll have more then a few missions where I am swearing at the computer in anger by the time I get along in this little gem. The thing about that though is I will only be playing this game on that computer. so I'll be doing MAYBE 5 hours a month with it. Should be fun though!

OK, this is a real new start that is going to finally work!

Well here we are again, trying keep up my posting. It has been a long time now so I think this little guy is going to be just a update of what I am doing and what I plan on doing in the near future.

MMORPG's
Currently I have a sub to LOTRO and EVE. They are both fun games and I am planning on keeping withe them both. I just joined a rather large kinship in LOTRO and am going to start looking for a corp in EVE just as soon as I get a new headset. Playing EVE in a corp without voice chat just does not work that well really.

Other Games
Well currently I am not working on another game as of yet. I am looking around Gametap to see what I want to start playing. I'll be giving my impressions on it just as soon as I find something interesting.

Just a little EQ tonight

Tonight I just spend a little bit of time in Everquest. I'm still in the Cresent Reach zone, getting my Shadow Knight up to 18 today. Two levels is not to bad for only a little bit of play time that I did put in.

I think the one thing that really draws me towards EQ is just the vast scope of the game. I know that there is just so much to see and do I will never have a chance to do it all. This, while scary, is also a pretty cool thought. I think its really one of the only games out that you can really say that about. I just don't think there are enough man hours to really pound though everything that EQ has to offere its players.

Also I read a bit more of Planet Hulk tonight. Overall I really am enjoying this story. I like this part violent, part smart hulk that is in the book. I was never a big fan of just stright "HULK SMASH," but when the chacter has a little bit more personality, he really does have some story power. Also it was a pretty good fight with the Surfer in the issues I read. To bad the surfer could not use the power cosmic at all, else Hulk would have had a real fight.

Runes of Magic

Well today i spent a little bit of my free time in Runes of Magic.

So far its a pretty good looking game that I think I am going to spend a bit of my time with. The graphics are pretty and the combat system is pretty standard for the MMO.

Nothing much else to really report.

Back at it

Well after taking quite bit of time off I think it is time I use this blog to do a few things.

One : Keep tracking of my gaming. I find this enjoyable even if no one else really gives two rats asses.

Two : Just another way to keep and pratice my writing skills. With no classes right now I really do need to keep a way to thinking and creating open to me, this is what I'll also use this for

Three : Just to be cool, because everyone knows that in order to be internet cool you have to be rocking a personal blog.

So that is it for right now. I'll be back a lot though so for the no one reading this, be ready!

OMG I'm back!

Well since no one really reads this anyhow I'm sure its not that big of a deal that I'm back at this.

So EQ2 is now my MMO of choice. I'll start to do updates again soon as I get something fun to write about. Till then, how about a photo of my new EQ2 toon?!?!?
EDIT!!!

I almost forgot, I am also trying to push my toon in Tabula Rasa to 50 finally before the servers come down in a little over a month. Should be pretty easy really.

Signed up for EVE today

Well that is about all the news for today.

I was listening to The Drone Bay podcast from virginworlds.com and it inspired me to resign up for EVE.

See if it lasts. If it does I have to pick either one SOE game and EVE or no EVE and station pass....hard choice maybe.
